Ibuprofen lysine belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The lysine salt of ibuprofen is more water-soluble than ibuprofen itself and it is said to pass into the blood more quickly. The medicine breaks down to ibuprofen and lysine.
